Stairs
The staircases in this art series are modeled after the stairs at my home. This art portfolio surrounds the theme of life journey and one’s perception of it. It uses stairs to signify life while portraying them using different approaches and elements. The art pieces were created using a variety of techniques including collage and use of color pencil and oil pastel. These styles and components express ideas, viewpoints, and understandings throughout life.

Soon, he started to get bored again and had this irritated expression on his face. Abruptly, he used his hand to hit his jaw bone very hard. He also banged his head on the table. His eyebrows pinched together while his teeth clenched. His expression looked painful from something that I did not understand. I was stunned by this scene as my mind went blank.

Xiao Song is starting to think about the design and he is intentionally arranging the decorations. I complimented him on his improvement. He also started to call my name. When Xiao Song first spoke my name, I was glad since I became a person that he trusted rather than a random stranger.

I learned about the ways to get along with autistic students. First, you needed to be genuine and pure-hearted when staying with them. Do not try to fake smiles because sometimes they may notice that you are insincere and actually dislike it. All you need to do is to treat them as a friend.
