The left drawing is the third piece of my art series “Beyond the Window”. It is a normal pencil sketch of the windows on a house. However, it is not completly realistic because I used geometric shapes and lines to simpliy parts of the window and white parts of the house. On the right, there is a more abstract version drawn using color pencil. I used the composition of the sketching on the left and simplified the windows and building again using shapes and colors.
I participated in a community service program to draw portraits of orphans in Peru. A picture of him was sent to our school and I drew a color pencil version of it. This was an interesting challenge and I hope the boy who receives this portrait would like it.
